Outdoor Edge

Outdoor Edge is an industry leader in interchangeable blade technology, fixed blade hunting knives, game processing kits, everyday carry knives, and all things outdoors. Founded on quality, reliability, and superior performance, Outdoor Edge Knives and Tools continues to develop innovative knives and tools for all walks of life three decades later. Founded in Golden, Colorado, Outdoor Edge is still rooted in the Centennial State, where all knives are designed and tested in the rugged and harsh mountain environment.

David Bloch's passion for the outdoors led to a knife design project in 1986 as a mechanical engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines. David took his first knife design and founded Outdoor Edge in January 1988. That same month, he launched the Game Skinner to the outdoor market at the 1988 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Since then, Outdoor Edge has grown steadily to become the industry-leading brand in hunting knives, game processing kits, and replaceable blade knives for hunters, fishermen, outdoor enthusiasts, craftsmen, and anyone who needs a high-quality cutting tool to make their work easier. David has served as President, CEO, Chief Designer and Developer, and Head of Operations for Outdoor Edge for 33 years. His passion for innovation and excellence has led him to invent, patent, and develop a diverse portfolio of award-winning, performance-driven knives and tools that a wide range of consumers have come to know and appreciate. In addition to his work at Outdoor Edge, David enjoys bowhunting, fishing, snowboarding, martial arts, and spending his free time with his family and 5-year-old son Eli.
