Hanwei Raptor Tanto

Raptor Tanto

The Raptor Tanto and the Raptor Wakizashi (HN-SH2422) by Hanwei were primarily designed as matching side weapons for the Raptor series Katanas, but they are also standalone, very effective cutting tools. The blades are designed in the style of James Williams' personal Nami Ryu swords. With these pieces, combat techniques with all three weapons can be perfected, and an impressive collection can be completed at the same time.

The Raptor Series by Hanwei:

Unter der Federführung vom Schwertmeister James Williams wurde die Raptor (Raubvogel) – Kollektion speziell für diejenigen entwickelt, die nicht unbedingt Zugang zu einem Trainingszentrum haben, sich jedoch wünschen, trainieren zu können und ihre Technik im Umgang mit Klingen zu perfektionieren.

Each blade is forged from 5160 carbon steel and undergoes a special heat treatment that ensures very high resilience and ensures that it withstands poorly executed blows much better than a conventional, differentially hardened blade. Furthermore, the structure of the steel used makes excessive blade thickness unnecessary, so that the blades are equal to the Japanese originals in weight and handling.
