Alaska Scrimshaw Connection

Alaska Scrimshaw Connection, founded by award-winning artist Dennis Sims, who has been practicing the art of scrimshaw in Alaska since 1976, specializes in handmade jewelry and collectibles made from fossilized walrus ivory. The ivory used comes from centuries-old finds recovered by native Eskimos during the short summer months. Each piece is carefully cut, polished, and adorned using traditional and modern techniques to reflect the natural beauty of Alaska. All products comply with state and federal regulations, with no living animals harmed in their creation.
