Description
With the No. 12 EXPLORE model, Opinel expands the range beyond the usual palette with a robust series suitable for tougher use while hunting or in the field. Fiberglass-polyamide was used as the handle material for this series as well, which provides a secure grip, especially when working with wet hands. Inside the handle, the EXPLORE houses some interesting and useful extras: fire starter, signal whistle, hook blade with eyelet for a cord. Otherwise, the model offers the usual features expected from Opinel – blade made of 12C27 stainless Sandvik steel and the proven Virobloc safety ring, which prevents accidental opening and closing of the blade. Due to the tools integrated into the handle, the blade length is 10 cm, which is slightly shorter than the regular No. 12 model.
