The Windlass Spiculus Gladius pays homage to the legendary Roman gladiator Spiculus, admired by Emperor Nero for his skill in the arena. Crafted by Windlass Steelcrafts, this gladius stays true to its era, embodying the spirit of a champion.
Measuring approximately 61 cm in length, the carbon steel blade offers ample reach without sacrificing agility, weighing less than 1 kg for effortless handling. The natural bone handle beautifully contrasts with the dark-stained wood pommel and guard, with each sword featuring a unique grain pattern due to the natural material.
The historically inspired scabbard, crafted from rich reddish-brown leather with gilded fittings showcasing lion and gladiator reliefs, complements the sword's opulence. The pommel is adorned with a gilded leaf overlay, further enhancing its regal charm.
The matching wooden scabbard with a leather overlay completes the ensemble. Please note that this exquisitely crafted sword is not intended for combat. It is a collector's item, perfect for display or enhancing costumes.
