Description
Sica Sword
The Sica was a single-edged, curved dagger or short sword of Thracian-Illyrian origin. In Rome, the Sica was mainly used by robber gangs, which earned these gangs the name sicarii. The weapon was also used by the Thraeces, a specific type of gladiator.
This replica of a Sica features a classic curved blade typical of this sword type, made of EN45 spring steel. The edge is not sharpened.
The handle, pommel, and guard element are artfully crafted from wood. A brass plate has been inserted into the guard element for protection.
Special features:
– Handle, guard, and pommel made of wood
– Typical curved blade
Details:
– Blade material: EN45 spring steel
– Total length: approx. 45 cm
– Blade length: approx. 29 cm
– Weight: approx. 450 g
The above specifications may vary slightly from piece to piece.
