This Viking Age sax knife (also called Skramasax) has a long EN45 spring steel blade with a strong spine, a pointed tip, and a double fuller. The edge is not sharpened, and the full tang is riveted at the pommel.

The hilt consists of a strong, short guard with an oval shape, a one-piece pommel in the late Viking style, and a grip section with a wooden core tightly wrapped in brown leather. The guard and pommel are both cast from steel and blued, which makes the hilt a true eye-catcher and gives the early medieval knife a rustic character.

The Viking Langsax comes with a robust, high-quality sheath made of brown, vegetable-tanned leather with beautiful braided stitching. Two belt loops allow the sax to be worn horizontally on the belt in typical Viking style.

It should be noted that this Viking sax is not suitable for stage combat. It is designed as a collector's item or decorative object, but also excellent as a prop (e.g., to complete your costume) and will simply perfect your transformation into a proud Nordic warrior!

The steel used here is not stainless and may show slight signs of corrosion. We recommend regularly maintaining the Viking knife, for example, with Ballistol, a universal oil that is excellent for preserving steel goods.
