The Kizer Begleiter V4458A3 is a sleek, incredibly handy urban knife designed for Kizer by Danish knifemaker Mikkel Willumsen, founder of the Urban Tactical brand.
The name "Begleiter" (German for "companion") perfectly reflects the character and purpose of this interestingly designed EDC knife.
The narrow, 89 mm long head is made of Japanese VG-10 stainless steel, which is characterized by high hardness, chip and corrosion resistance, and relatively easy sharpening. Due to the high hardness, however, diamond sharpening stones are recommended for sharpening. The utilitarian drop-point profile and flat grind ensure high strength of the head and tip and very good cutting performance. Brass washers on the blade's pivot ensure smooth and easy operation of the knife.
The blade can be conveniently deployed with a thumb using an ambidextrous stud, which is an optimal solution for both right and left-handed users. The knife employs a proven liner-lock, appreciated for its simplicity and ease of use.
The narrow, contoured blue G-10 plastic liners perfectly accentuate the sleek and lightweight design of the EDC knife. A large hole at the end of the tang allows for the attachment of a braided sheath or cord. The contoured clip is a convenient and practical solution for carrying the knife in the city.
