SOG

SOG Specialty Knives, Inc., commonly known as SOG, is an American company that produces a variety of knives, tools, and multi-tools. The company was founded in 1986 by Spencer and Gloria Frazer and named after the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG), a special forces unit that developed its own knife during the Vietnam War.

SOG's product line includes military-inspired knives, tactical automatic knives (available only to military and law enforcement), assisted-opening folding knives, fixed-blade knives for survival and outdoor use, and multi-tools such as the Paratool, PowerLock, and PowerAssist. Many of SOG's folding knives and multi-tools are manufactured or assembled in the United States, while some of the more budget-friendly tools are crafted in Taiwan or China. SOG's fixed-blade knives were originally produced in Seki City, Japan, but are now manufactured in Taiwan.
