Benchmade-Bedlam-Series
The Benchmade Bedlam series has an unusual origin story: Benchmade accepted an order from King Abdullah II of Jordan to develop a tactical folding knife for his bodyguards and an elite unit. This idea resulted in a striking design with a swept blade reminiscent of a scimitar and a strongly curved handle; the first production version came onto the market in 2010 as an Auto AXIS folder, with a manual variant following in 2011. After about a decade of production, the Bedlam was finally discontinued but remained a model with a loyal fan base - which Benchmade explicitly picked up on in 2025 with the Mini Bedlam as a modern, everyday-ready return, without abandoning the characteristic base look of the series.
