Description
The German manufacturer Midgards has released its latest pocket knife, the Lockin' Valhalla, which has thrilled many enthusiasts. Although the knife has a blade length of 17.5 cm, it can only be opened with both hands thanks to its exceptional knee-joint lock, making it fully §42a-compliant (manufacturer's specification).
The Lockin' Valhalla was originally strictly limited to 150 pieces. Due to extreme popularity, all examples were sold out after just a few days. Midgards offers us a unique opportunity with this copy, as it is a non-numbered prototype. Such prototypes are normally presented by manufacturers at trade fairs to show the current knife portfolio. Knyfe managed to snag one of a total of six copies, which were actually not intended for sale. With this example, you get not only an already extremely limited knife but also a one-of-a-kind prototype with a unique marking on the knee-joint lock and, of course, a real eye-catcher in every collection.
For the blade, Midgards relies on the established CPM-D2 steel, which is a semi-stainless steel that has often proven its excellent edge retention in the past. It is also significantly finer than regular D2 steel, making the Lockin' Valhalla suitable for heavy-duty work. The handle is made of G10 and feels very comfortable in the hand. Especially in combination with the slightly higher weight, you notice the quality of the knife and want to start working immediately upon picking it up.
