Description
The Spyderco Diamond Sharpener BY200 is the ultimate sharpening tool for all your knives and cutting tools. This sharpener is shaped like a duck's foot and offers a diamond-coated sharpening surface of approximately 15 square centimeters. The diamond particles require no strong pressure during sharpening, making it easy to use and gentle on your blades.
This sharpener contains a 1" x 5" flat diamond stone, 3 grooves with a wide radius channel for sharpening and a narrow radius channel for polishing pointed items. When placed vertically on the table, it tilts from side to side, lifting one edge off the table surface to form a 20 degree angle (40 degree inclusive angle) for sharpening knife blades. The sides are elliptically shaped, with a wide radius for sharpening plain edges and a small radius for sharpening Spyder edges (serrations).
When placed horizontally, it forms a 12,5-degree angle for sharpening scissors. Included in the delivery are a leather case, which also serves as a non-slip base for sharpening, and a detailed instructional DVD. The BY200 is silver-colored, 13 cm long, and belongs to the sharpening tools.
Using diamond particles as a sharpening surface has the advantage of being extremely durable and long-lasting, perfect for sharpening hard materials like ceramic and high-hardness steel.
