Description
The 0640 is a collaboration between ZT and Ernest Emerson, offering the perfect blend of highly practical design and bold, eye-catching style.
What you'll first notice about the 0640 is its stonewashed titanium handle, featuring visually appealing green carbon fiber composite overlays on both sides. Additionally, the top end of both handle scales has been machined to create jimping that runs at the same angle as the handle's angular contours. A sturdy frame lock with a hardened steel lock bar ensures secure blade retention. Both the spine and the bottom edge of the handle feature grooves and notches (known as jimping) for enhanced grip.
The beautiful handle is paired with an approximately 9.5 cm long clip-point blade made of CPM 20CV, a high-chromium stainless steel. In this powder metallurgical tool steel, the high proportion of vanadium carbides ensures remarkable wear resistance and above-average edge retention. Since CPM 20CV has the highest chromium content of all high-vanadium steels, it also exhibits excellent corrosion resistance. The ground blade sections have been machine-satinized, and the remaining surfaces have been given a stonewash finish.
The 0640 is a purely manual opening pocket knife that can be opened with one hand via a thumb disc specially developed by Emerson. And thanks to the reversible pocket clip, it can be carried comfortably on both the left and right sides.
