Western Knives, originally known as Western Cutlery Company, is a renowned American manufacturer of quality knives, founded in 1896 in Boulder, Colorado. The company specialized in producing hunting, camping, and pocket knives, becoming particularly famous for its Bowie knives. After several changes in ownership and location, including an acquisition by Coleman in 1984 and later by Camillus Cutlery in 1991, production eventually moved to Asia. Despite these changes, the brand remains known for its robust and reliable knives, which are of great interest to both recreational users and collectors.
