Description
The Kizer Splinter Ki3457A2 is an elegant 'Gentleman's Knife' folding knife made from modern premium materials such as titanium and CPM-S35VN powder steel.
The Gentleman's Knife is a lightweight, everyday tool characterized by its refined design, high-quality workmanship, and smaller size for discreet carrying.
The 86 mm narrow head is made of American CPM-S35VN powder steel. This type of stainless steel is characterized by high hardness and strength (hardening 58-60 HRC), wear and corrosion resistance, and long retention of working sharpness. In contrast to its predecessor (CPM-S30V), CPM-S35VN is much easier to sharpen due to its finer grain and the addition of niobium.
The sandblasted blade with a drop-point profile and flat grind ensures high blade strength and very good cutting performance. Thanks to the use of ball bearings, the head runs very easily and smoothly. The blade is opened with the help of a flipper. This is the optimal solution so that right- and left-handers can operate the knife comfortably. The liners of the knife are made of lightweight 6Al4V titanium, which has been 3D-finished for better grip and features a distinctive scaly texture. The opal surface provides a very interesting visual effect.
A simple double-sided clip and a lanyard hole subtly emphasize the utilitarian character of the knife. The robust frame-lock, considered one of the most practical mechanisms in EDC knives, is responsible for operational safety.
The Kizer Splinter Ki3457A2 is an exceptional EDC knife that combines elegance, functionality, and excellent build quality.
